Scheduling
-This particular Dunkin Donuts has 22 employees.
-Dunkin Donuts operates for 24 hours and 7 days of the week.
-Each shift for an employee splits the day into three different blocks of 8 hours (12am-8am, 8am-4pm, and 4pm-12am).
-Scheduling was based on a 40 hour work week for each employee.
-In order to create a schedule, the first step was to make sure there was at least 3 employees covering each shift every day Monday-Sunday.
-The next step was to make sure each employee reached the full-time for a 40 hour work week so each individual employee was assigned random days in order to meet individual requirements after the first step was completed.
-The last step was to add the total employees working each shift to create the first requirement, as seen in the chart above.
-After the number of employees required each day was calculated, days off were then assigned to each employee until the schedule was completed for each employee.
